He's serious. Lots of people say this, but few are willing to put themselves at risk, which destroys the likelihood of success and dramatically increases the chance of in between. Personally, I hate the "in between" – like taking a friend to the prom – no chance of that great kiss at the end of the evening. To me, that in between is failure. It is the purgatory of business. And I would venture to say that most of the time, landing in purgatory is merely the waiting room to hell. Ask any former owner of a mediocre restaurant that is no longer open.
